Get to know Shannon

I like to write. As a young girl I kept a journal which allowed me to express my imagination, letting the words flow onto my paper. I feel creative when I write and enjoy being in the moment. In my opinion there is nothing better than letting your creativity flow and writing something to be proud of.

For the last 30+ years, I have worked as a communications associate in both Canada and in the Netherlands, therefore copywriting has always been a part of my job. I met Nardy in 2008 while working as communications colleagues together for the same company.  After a few years, we both moved on to other job adventures, however, the friendship and our desire to work together doing something we both love – writing creatively - remained!

In 2014, I joined forces with my husband's display and signage business to support the Human Resource and marketing teams. Combining this experience with my communications and copywriting skills, I hope to use these abilities to help grow this new adventure with 2write4u!

The seed for 2write4u was planted in 2016 during a family trip to Western Canada. Nardy and I packed up our husbands and children and I happily played tour guide, proud to show Nardy and her family where I’m from. We spoke often on this trip about creating 2write4u, dreaming and visualizing what it would be like to start our own copywriting company. Over the years our conversations evolved and we further developed our vision. Within our hearts we knew we could really do this and in 2021, we decided to go for it!

Nardy and I are collaborative by nature and we love helping each other to prepare. We debate, give feedback, decide, and get excited about each project we undertake! We are better together and I can’t image embarking on this adventure with anyone other.
